Retainers are typically not used forever, but they play an important role in maintaining the alignment of your teeth after orthodontic treatment. Initially, you may need to wear your retainer consistently for a certain period as recommended by your orthodontist. Over time, as your teeth stabilize, the wearing schedule may be adjusted, most remi customers wear our retainers nightly.
A retainer is a dental appliance that does an important job: it helps preserve the beautiful alignment of your teeth after orthodontic treatment. By wearing a retainer, you can ensure that your teeth stay in their desired positions, allowing you to enjoy a confident and radiant smile for years to come.
It's generally recommended to remove your retainers before eating. This helps protect them from damage and keeps your retainers clean. By taking a brief break from wearing your retainers during meals, you can fully enjoy your food without any worries. Remember to store your retainers in their case to keep them safe while you eat.
Don't worry! The lisping sensation with a retainer is usually temporary. As you get used to wearing it, your speech will adjust and return to normal. Soon enough, you'll be speaking naturally and confidently with your retainer in place.
